Hui Chen

Co-Founder

Hui is an internationally renowned leader in ethics and compliance. Known for her practical and outcomes-driven approach, she regularly consults with companies, as well as regulatory and enforcement authorities around the world, advising them on the design, implementation, and assessment of ethics and compliance programs. Hui is also a thought leader who collaborates with leading researchers and publishes regularly in business and academic journals. 

  • As the first-ever Compliance Counsel Expert at the United States Department of Justice, Hui was the exclusive consultant to the federal prosecutors in the Fraud Section, evaluating corporate ethics and compliance programs in areas such as anti-fraud, anti-bribery/kickback, healthcare, quality control, manipulation of financial markets, process safety, and environmental protection. She is the author of the Fraud Section’s well known “Evaluation of Corporate Compliance,” which has been widely praised by compliance practitioners and recognized by government regulators and standard setters around the world. She also consulted on all Fraud Section corporate monitorships, including hosting training for monitors on best practices and lessons learned. After leaving the Department of Justice, Hui was retained as the first-ever foreign expert consultant by the Ministry of Transparency of Brazil to assist the Comptroller General’s Office (CGU) in the development of methodologies for evaluating corporate compliance programs.

    Prior to being retained by the Department of Justice, Hui served as a senior compliance leader in industries such as technology (Microsoft), pharmaceutical (Pfizer), and financial services (Standard Chartered Bank).

    She is well versed in the practicalities of working in matrix organizations and meeting the demands of business and operational necessities. She is also keenly attuned to cross-cultural business challenges, having lived and worked in New York, Washington, D.C., Munich, Moscow, Beijing, London, and Milan, and conducted risk assessments, training, and investigations throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Middle East.

Zach Coseglia

Zach is a pioneer in the world of organizational ethics, compliance, and culture.  Known for his creativity and data-driven innovation, Zach frequently partners with global organizations to drive culture change initiatives and design more effective compliance programs. His approach is uniquely data-driven and human-centered—and he is perpetually in search of better ways. 

  • Though trained as a lawyer, Zach has leaned into his entrepreneurial instincts and carved a unique professional path for himself. He spent the better part of a decade as an in-house compliance executive at Pfizer, bookended by a combined 14+ years in private practice (as a litigator, investigator, and compliance advisor). Zach is perhaps best known as the architect and former leader of Pfizer’s global compliance analytics program. His multidisciplinary team of engineers, statisticians, and graphic designers infused analytics into all aspects of Pfizer’s compliance program and ultimately transformed the company’s approach to culture and compliance. He also built an industry-leading global compliance monitoring platform and oversaw a digital compliance office that served as an innovation hub for the design and development of new compliance technologies.

    Zach also previously served as Pfizer’s Chief Investigations Counsel in the Asia-Pacific Region, leading a team of compliance professionals responsible for investigating and remediating employee misconduct. In this role, he had the opportunity to live and work in Beijing and Shanghai. 

    Over the course of his career, clients have engaged Zach to advise them on critical organizational issues, including culture assessments; culture change initiatives; risk assessments; compliance effectiveness reviews; internal investigations; and compliance program design. He is a global thought leader on the use of behavioral analytics and cultural psychology for ethics, compliance, and risk management.

    Zach co-founded and previously served as Managing Principal and Chief Innovation Officer at the Insights Lab, a first-of-its-kind legal consulting practice within an elite law firm.
